1) Medecins du Monde (Doctors of the World), Paris, France, 2016
Title: Assessment of the feasibility of implementing public health and other recommendations made by UNEP in the context of oil pollution in the Niger Delta, Nigeria.
The project involves the following task
- Review of 11 documents related to environmental and public health issues in the Niger Delta
- Interaction on the state of the environment and public health issues in the Niger Delta (especially in Ogoniland) with CSOs and NGOs in Abuja and Rivers State such as Amnesty International (AI), Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CISLAC), Environmental Rights Action/Friends of Earth Nigeria (ERA/FoEN), Centre for Environment, Human Rights and Development (CEHRD), Social Action (SA), Niger Delta Relief Foundation (NIDEREF), Stakeholders Democracy Network (SDN) and Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RSUST – members of the Health and Environment Team during the 2009-2011 UNEP Environmental Assessment in Ogoniland)./li>
- Collection of environmental, social and health data in Ogoniland
- Assessment of health data and reports from the Federal Ministry of Health (FMoH), Abuja, Rivers State Ministry of Health (RSMoH) Port Harcourt, Hospitals, Clinics, Primary Health Care Centres and Chemist Stores on the prevalence of diseases related to environmental pollution and public health..
2)Advisor to Agbi (NsisiOken) Community - the most polluted community on the UNEP 2011 Environmental Assessment of Ogoniland
